Sticky Sesame Tofu Bites.

I grew up eating Chinese takeout food ALL the time, and the number one thing I ordered was sticky sesame chicken over rice. I no longer eat chicken, and fortunately sesame chicken can very easily be veganized with tofu! This recipe is incredibly simple, requires minimal ingredients, and you can make in 30 minutes or less.

Tofu = High Protein

I love tofu. It’s incredibly versatile and, in this case, loaded with protein. I use Trader Joe’s High Protein Tofu which contains 70g for an entire block! This recipe can feed up to four people, but I like to split it into two larger portions meaning each serving contains 35g of protein.

On average, women only need 46g of protein per day – this recipe gets you 90% of the way there! The reason Trader Joe’s tofu is so high in protein is because of how compact it is – softer tofu is filled with water and isn’t as dense as a super firm tofu.

Takes Under 30 Minutes to Prepare

The best part of these sticky sesame tofu bites are how quickly you can prepare them. First, you’ll cube the tofu and toss with sesame oil and oat flour. You can bake them in the oven or an air fryer. I prefer an air fryer because it cuts the cooking time in half and it only takes two minute to heat up. If you don’t have an air fryer, I highly recommend investing in one.

Sticky Sesame Sauce

The best part of this sticky sesame tofu is the sticky sesame sauce. It’s loaded with delicious flavor and comes together in minutes.
