Watermelon Gatorade

If you love red Gatorade but are looking for a healthier alternative, you need to try this simple Watermelon Gatorade electrolyte juice.

Ingredients

  • 180 oz Peeled Watermelon Chunks, About 1 large watermelon
  • 1-2 Limes, juice from
  • 10 Basil Leaves
  • ½ Jalapeño
  • 2 tsp Sea Salt

Instructions

Prepare the Ingredients:

  • Peel the watermelon and halve your limes and jalapeño. If you prefer a less spicy drink, remove the jalapeño.

Juicing:

  • Add the watermelon, basil, and jalapeño to your juicer. Try to evenly space the order in which you add your ingredients to your juicer. This will yield a LOT of juice which you will have to divide between many bottles or pitchers. Evenly spacing out the ingredients is important to avoid having one batch with all of the basil, and another with all of the jalapeño.

Add in the Lime and Salt:

  • Juice all of your limes with a lemon squeezer and stir in the sea salt - you’ll need to divide this evenly amongst your juice. I found it easiest to divide my juice between a few pitchers, evenly add in the lime and salt, then keep in the pitchers or divide between individual juice bottles.

Mix Well:

  • Once juiced, stir well to combine all the flavors and divide between pitchers or individual juice bottles.

Chill and Serve:

  • Enjoy immediately, or keep stored in the refrigerator 3-5 days.
